Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme update and gradual withdrawal

Further to the Government's announcement on 12th May extending the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS), the Chancellor Rishi Sunak has provided further details on the gradual withdrawal of the scheme from 1st August.

Covid-19 employer HR update - Job Retention Scheme and holiday pay

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme has been extended and there has been further guidance on employers being allowed to ‘require furloughed workers to take annual leave’. Also once lockdown is lifted, CIPD urges employers to consider these 3 tests before allowing staff back to work.

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme Portal is now live

The Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme went live yesterday, with businesses able to claim up to £2,500 per month per employee towards furloughed staff wages.
